Prayer

Ask for prayer

If something is heavy at the moment, you are welcome to ask us to pray with you. There is nothing you have to be ready to explain, and no obligation attached to asking.

What this is

Somewhere to put it down

A prayer request is simply you telling us what you would like prayed for. It can be a diagnosis, a marriage, a child, a job, a decision you cannot see your way through, or something you have not put into words for anybody yet.

You do not need to be part of a church, or sure what you believe, or able to explain the whole of it. A sentence is enough. Asking for prayer is not a sign that anything has gone wrong in your faith, and being in a hard season is not evidence of weak faith.

We cannot promise you a particular outcome, and we will not pretend to. What we can say is that what you write will be read by a person, taken seriously, and carried to God, and that you will not be holding it on your own.

Your request

Whenever you are ready

Share as much or as little as you want to. Only what you type here is sent, and you decide whether anybody beyond Claire and Rosie ever sees it.

Only if you would like a reply. You can ask without one.

Sharing

Leave it unticked and only Claire and Rosie will read it. Everyone on the prayer team has made a written promise to keep what they are sent private, and nothing is ever passed on without this tick.

What you write is treated as confidential. See the privacy policy.

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

1 Peter 5:7

What to expect

What happens after you send it

A person reads it

Not a queue and not an automated reply. Claire or Rosie reads what you write, and it is prayed for whether or not you ever hear back.

It goes no further unless you say so

Sharing is one tick on the form and it starts empty. Leave it and what you wrote stays with the practice. Tick it and it reaches the prayer team, with only as much of your name as you chose to send.

Nothing follows from asking

Asking for prayer is not booking anything and it is not the start of a process. Nobody will chase you, and you are welcome to ask again whenever you want to.

If you need help now

This is not a crisis service and it cannot respond urgently. If you are at immediate risk of harm, please contact the emergency services on 999, speak to your GP, call NHS 111 and choose the mental health option, or call Samaritans free at any hour on 116 123.

If you would rather write to us directly, that reaches the same two people: support@transforminsideout.co.
